Harvest 2012 in the bag
A summary of our 2012 harvest is a bit overdue. Finally, catching up on my blog entries and going through my photos... We brought in about 13 tons of fruit for iOTA Cellars this year. Pelos Sandberg Vineyard as a whole produced over 21 tons when you include the 4 acres we sell. We averaged about 1.8 tons per acre. The whole vineyard was picked in one week. iOTA had 2 separate pick dates. Eve...

March at the vineyard
I returned Sunday from a brief visit to the vineyard. Although a college visit for my daughter was the primary focus, I had the opportunity to snap a few shots of the recently completed pruning in our lower blocks ... Abino, Pappou, Yiayia and Ana ... before the rains set in again. Good timing! Vineyard looking great, Don. Here's to a new growing season about to begin.

Thanks to "Aunt" Karen for coming out from Minnesota to lend a hand with bottling, the kids and helping Johanna and Lynne at Pinot in the City in Portland on Sept 10th. It was a hot, but successful day of sharing our 09 vintage with some wonder...

Between Sunday and Thursday Big Table Farm,...

Harvest 2009
September 27th saw our young Dijon clones 777 and 667 harvested from Tonka and Oscar blocks along with our Pommard from Yiayia and Pappou blocks. Total of just under 7 tons of pinot noir to work with in the winery. High sugars this year on some lots, but overall quality very pleasing. October 10th was the final harvest for iOTA Cellars, when our Ana block of Dijon 777 and our Abino Hill block o...
