March at the vineyard

I returned Sunday from a brief visit to the vineyard.  Although a college visit for my daughter was the primary focus, I had the opportunity to snap a few shots of the recently completed pruning in our lower blocks ... Abino, Pappou, Yiayia and Ana ... before the rains set in again.  Good timing!  Vineyard looking great, Don.  Here's to a new growing season about to begin.

Thanksgiving Open House at iOTA Cellars

All fruit picked!!

Concluded our picks at Pelos Sandberg.  iOTA Cellars harvested 17+ tons.  We have 11 fermentations going in the winery, all at different stages.  Late harvest, but looking good.  The work moves inside now and just in time.  You never know when those rains will begin in earnest.

Almost harvest 2011!!

I am packing my bags today.  Heading to Amity for harvest this week.  The first of our fruit should be coming off the vine Thursday.  I will try to post pictures and updates as I can.  We were lucky enough to have good friends from our Minnesota days visiting on Saturday Oct 15th with Johanna & Don.  They shared some great shots with us.  Thanks, Jeff & Julie!  Here they are...stay posted....
